The Prophet (s.a.w) said ‘Who ever stands during the nights of Ramadhan (i.e. to pray Taraweeh) full of iman and hoping for the rewards from Allah, all of his/her previous sins will be forgiven by Allah’ (Narrated by Muslim).
The Prophet (s.a.w.) was the most charitable person of all and during Ramadhan he would be even more charitable. In a hadith narrated by At-Tirmidzi, he said: ‘the best charity is the charity in Ramadhan.’
The AHF gives money to the needy, sponsoring food for Iftar (breaking fast) and sponsoring food for morey (meals after Taraweeh).
Reading the Qur’an and I'tiqaf
During Ramadan, there are a lot of ibadat to do such as praying obligatory prayers in congregation, praying sunnah prayers, reading Qur’an, reciting lots of duaa, istighfar, dhikir, taubah (repentance) and so on.
The Prophet (s.a.w) always performed I’tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadhan and in the last year before his death, he did I’tikaf for the last 20 days of Ramadhan (Narrated by Imam Bukhari).
Ramadan is a blessed month of reflection, prayer and fasting for Muslims. During this month, observers gain a better understanding of and appreciation for the suffering of impoverished and hungry people around the world. Ramadan also serves to remind Muslims of the importance of charity and their obligation to be charitable during the month and throughout the whole year.
The AHF provides sustainable assistance to improve their living conditions such as providing food, light and water for them to be able to concentrate on their Ibadah.
Allah’s Apostle said, “When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of Heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.” [Bukhari]
We would like to invite you to join us in performing these good deeds for our Global Communities and make the world a better place for the millions of people living in difficulty and poverty.
Ramadan is an honorable and blessed month and the rewards for generosity are multiplied in it. The Prophet (saws) said, “The best charity is that given in Ramadan.” [At-Tirmizi].
